Now you really do have the time to take off and visit those far-away places. And there is no rush any more, so just take your time and get there at your own pace, stopping when you need to, for shopping or sightseeing. And when you find somewhere really nice, park the RV and just stay as long as you like before moving on.

All the comforts of home in your RV

You can set up your unit just the way you want it. In fact, many RV manufacturers even have floorplans designed for people with disabilities, or will custom-build on request, including wheel chair access and lowered countertops. RVs can even be equipped with generators and portable battery packs to run respirators. So all of a sudden, trips and vacations are made easier, for anyone with special needs. And take along your favorite books and music, and watch those videos you never seemed to have time for. Cook your meals just the way you like them, and go to bed in comfort whenever you tire.

Find that perfect campground

Stay put in one spot once you find the perfect place that suits you. Have all the amenities to hand to make life simple, and make new friends to pass the time away. Join in activities such as swimming, tennis or golf. If you are nervous about travelling alone, you can even join a club or RV caravan tour to take the hassles out of planning a trip, and have company on your travels (see RV Clubs). Or you might prefer a place that is more secluded where you can just enjoy your own company and not be bothered by anyone else. Of course you can bring your cat along too, so there is no excuse - that you cannot get away because of family pets.

Save your pennies every day

Older people often have special diets or like particular types of foods, so with their own fridge and stove, they can avoid high-priced restaurants and hotels. By doing their own shopping for those special items they like to have, it is simple to stick to their diet, or cater to their needs. By avoiding indigestion from greasy fast food restaurants, they are not only able to eat healthier meals, they are keeping their daily expenses low, often to the same costs as living at home. And yet here they are in their RV – seeing the world.
